Tania Khan

Tania Khan, Additional Secretary of Power Division, joined APSCL as a Board Director on May 27, 2021. She also serves on the Company's Recruitment and Promotion Committee as well as the Board Project Steering Committee. Tania Khan is currently serving as Additional Secretary, Planning Wing of the Power Division of the Ministry of Power, Energy, and Mineral Resources. Prior to her current job, she was a Joint Secretary in the Power Division. She has also served as Deputy Chief, Senior Assistant Chief, and Assistant Chief for the Ministry of Textiles and Jute, Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs, Planning Commission, Ministry of Information, and Ministry of Education. She joined the 17th BCS Batch in 1998 and has been serving people for more than 25 years.

Tania Khan earned a postgraduate degree in sociology from Dhaka University in 1994.  She participated in a variety of local and international training courses on policy formulation, good governance, gender equality, budgeting, human resources, government procurement, ICT, sustainable development, project management, and many other topics. For training and professional purposes, she traveled to England, Canada, USA, Malaysia, China, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, India, Myanmar, Italy, France, Switzerland, Greece, Germany, Netherlands, and many other countries for training and professional assignments.   

During her regular employment in the Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs and the Ministry of Textiles and Jute, Tania Khan extended her skills by taking on the additional responsibility of Project Directorship for three projects. In the Power Division, she has been given additional charge of a Project as Director as well.

Tania Khan is a member of the Executive Committee of Officers Club Dhaka, the BCS women network, and other social and cultural organizations in addition to her working employment. She is a radio and television news presenter, anchor, as well as a musician and singer.
